In Minnesota, a majority of drivers ed courses are offered through high schools. Students may benefit from the standard classroom environment. Classroom-based drivers ed typically allows for more one on one time with an instructor. Students can complete the 30 hours of instruction in a classroom or online. All students must complete 30 hours of instructional coursework as well as six hours of behind-the-wheel training. Minnesota drivers have the option to choose between classroom-based and online drivers ed courses for the instructional portion.
